Judith Owen returns to SPACE after two sold out Christmas Without Tears shows!! Accompanied by master percussionist Pedro Segundo.
British singer-songwriter and pianist Judith Owen is currently riding the wave of a tremendous couple of years. Two consecutive albums were designated “Top 100 Albums” by The Times Culture (UK): the critically acclaimed redisCOVERed, a collection of distinctive remakes, in 2018; and the lauded Somebody’s Child in 2016.
Rave live reviews abound, including 5 Star live reviews from a recent sold out Ronnie Scott’s London show:
★★★★★ The singer-pianist shuffled the jukebox in a set of daring cover versions in which she revealed unexpected depths…a stunning evening – The Times (UK)
★★★★★ Sensationally good reworkings of songs. Judith reveals the depths that Drake and Ed Sheeran never knew they had, revisits the beauty of Joni Mitchell and does Deep Purple as you have never known before. Extraordinary, frankly: must see, and hear. – ArtInfo / Forbes / Dante
Judith’s muscial eclecticism has seen her records shelved in the rock, folk, and jazz sections of record stores.
Her live performances, whether as a headliner or as the handpicked opening act for Bryan Ferry’s recent tours of Europe and North America, have been wowing listeners and gaining fans including fellow artist Jackson Browne, who said of Owen’s onstage prowess: “It’s a masterclass on how a show should be done.”
Judith is touring in Europe and North America, and is already recording her next album, planned for release in 2020.
New Judith original songs released as pre singles to album “Second Hand Sexbot (feat. Richard Thompson) and “I Still Dream OF America”
